DE what age to start using

New egg here! We have our chicks! They are doing great! What age can we start using DE ~food grade~ in the bedding? Hope to move them to the coop this weekend, they will be about 1 1/2 weeks old, but we are in FL and it is quite warm here. Will use the light at night for a few nights, but really want to start using DE to prevent smell/flies.
