de-wormer?

I noticed some worms in my chicken's poop the yesterday so I told my dad to go get me some de-wormer. He came back with something I've never heard of before... "Pig Swig". It says "wormer for swine and poultry", and you put it in their water. I read the whole bottle and it doesn't say how long to throw out eggs or anything, or if you could hatch the eggs. Do any of you have any experience with this stuff?

With most wormers I would plan on throwing out all eggs for 14 days following treatment. Also, try to find some food grade DE (Diatomaceous Earth) and sprinkle that in their nests and pens. I already have some food grade DE and have deep cleaned the coop and powdered it down with DE, nest boxes and all. Do you know about hatching the eggs during treatment?

Hatching with DE is ok - wormer, probably not.
