DE is does NOT deworm. Period. Look for ANY peer reviewed study that says it does. What you will find is lots of claims from people who sell it or anecdotal "evidence" that it does because you don't see any worms in your chicken droppings and therefore, DE must work right? DE does somewhat help with external parasites (it's completely ineffective when wet) when used in a dust bath. But it is extremely hard on a chicken's (and human's) respiratory system and there are much better, effective and safer options.
