De-worming regularly or only per symptoms?

For roundworms, do you treat your chickens on a regular basis, as with cats/dogs? Or do you wait until you see clear signs of worm load in your birds?

It is good practice to regularly de-worm your chickens if they free range...I de-worm every six months with a chemical de-wormer..if you see evidence of worms in their poop they have a bad infestation which will at least give lower egg laying, loss of condition and ultimately chance of illness and early death.

How often you worm depends on your soil conditions. Warm moist/wet soil will require frequent wormings. Dry, cool/cold or rocky mountainous soil and desertlike soil may require less wormings. Here where I live our soil is warm and moist most of the year. I worm every 3 months sometimes sooner.
