Dead Chick In Brooder, No Apparent Cause

Today we found one of our cornish crosses dead in the brooder. We checked him for injuries or signs of sick and saw none. A couple of hours before we saw this guy, they were all running around, seemingly happily. He was laying on his stomach, and I couldn't see any reason why he may have died, on the outside. Any ideas?

It happens. There exists a rate of attrition that sometimes we have to see happen even though we don't want to.
