dead chicks

Last night a racoon got into our coop and it got into the cage that i was keeping my ameracana chicks in and killed all of them. in the morning there was only a wing of one of the chicks left.

Sounds like time for a coon hunt....

I am so sorry. To lose them all is especially hard. Hope you figured out how it got in so you can reinforce that spot for future chicks.

te cage has two sliding locks on it. so i usualy just lock one . i locked the top so when the racoon came it pulled the bottom of the door back a little bit and slipped in. the weird thing is that there was only blood on the inside . yet there was feathers and stuff on the outside.
