What do you think? Pekin duck egg. Was out of the nest. But I have also found at least two that have live chicks in them that were rolled out of the nest. I think a clumsy Drake is doing it.

Are they almost ready to hatch? We were just discussing bruising on duck eggs when the ducklings accidentally pip through a blood vessel.
I would definitely candle the egg and just to be safe do the sniff test to make sure it isn't stinky.

It looks different than the other eggs and flies are landing on it. I candled it and can't really see anything.

If flies are landing on it I'm wondering if it's smelly? If it stinks at all then bacteria is starting to build up inside and it's a ticking time bomb.
You would want to take the egg into a dark room to candle it or you won't be able to see much. In the end, you will need to decide if you want to leave it longer to see what happens or not.

How many days has your broody been sitting on the eggs? I have some candling photos but it would help to know how far along they are.

Looks rotten to me.Bruising seems to be in a specific area not the hole egg.Can you post a candling pic of the egg?

It looks way different than any of the other eggs. I don't hear any clicking for chirps like the others. Most of the eggs hatched 2-3 days ago. There are 3 left. I think it's dead. I don't have a proper candle thing, I've been using a flashlight.

It might be that it died and mom pushed it out of the nest. If the others have already hatched, I'd wait another day to be sure, and then call it a loss.
A flashlight works fine as a candler. When you candle at the blunt end you should see a big air cell and movement this close to hatch, possibly a beak in the air cell. If it's completely quiet or the air cell is small and round, it's dead.
