Yesterday I noticed one of my Guinea hens acting a bit off. She wouldn’t let me get very close (they never do) but wasn’t herself, hadn’t laid for a few days and was keeping away from the others. This morning she was dead. On inspection I couldn’t see anything obviously wrong with her, she looked like a healthy bird from the outside. Flock consists of a dozen chickens and two pairs (now one pair and one lonely male) of Guineas. All up to date with worming, fed premium crumbles and table scraps and excess eggs scrambled and given back. No new additions or changes in anything. Weather has been mild, no predators or signs of illness in the other chickens. She was approximately 2 years old.

My main concern now is that she died from something that the others will end up with. Should I treat them for Coccidiosis as a precaution? Anything else I can do? Possibility of just a random death?

Thanks

@casportpony will suggest that you do a necropsy to determine the cause of death.
