dead mother goose

We have buff geese.one was nesting alot of eggs 38 of them . yesterday i went to the coop and found her dead.not a clue why she died.she looked fine the other day.no markings like blood or anything.today i gathered up the eggs and put them in my incubator. Now being realistic i dont expect any to hatch but i figure why not.now this incubator has a turner should i put them on it or just put the eggs . down onto the flat surface and let them go for a week or 2?

Well this morning one of the eggs blew up so i tossed all of them . apparently asking around alot of people have been losing geese ducks and chickens without signs of anything. I hope mine stops here.we have 8 ducks 4 geese and 30 or so chickens.a couple years back kinda the same thing happened with the chickens.lost maybe 6 over a month period.then for the last 2 yrs they have been doing awesome.
