I had thee eggs under my tiny bantam. One was gone without a trace, and then I was handling the last two for whatever reason and as I turned the egg over I feel something flop on the inside. I turn it and I hear it flop again and so I assume it is dead and bury it because I don't want it to turn rotten and explode on my chicken. Today the last and remaining egg felt that way too and then later it didn't. Was the egg I buried dead or alive?? I left the last one. I uncovered the buried egg and turned it over and it felt like a fully formed chick inside. I hope it was dead if it wasn't I will never forgive myself. So my problem is, is the last egg as the one I buried dead or alive?

Oh no!!!!! So I did kill it?? Uhg I am kicking myself! Why didn't I just leave it under her! Oh I feel terrible.

You did what you thought was right. And it might still have been right. Like I said leave the other egg until it's supposed to hatch and if it isn't hatched but the following day it's probably dead.

I still feel horrible. If only I had left that one it might have lived
