So I went out this evening to put my turkeys and chickes away. As I was opening the gate I almost stepped on an eaten rabbit. Its upper jaw, ears, and some fur was in one pile. I then noticed about 4 feet away I noticed the hind legs(with the fur still on it to about its knees), hips(i guess) and its spine picked clean. Any ideas on what did this? My two cats were haning around. They are not to big though.

3 weeks ago I had something get into the barn and get a turkey( the door was slightly open) the crop was ripped open and a breast pick clean. I figure a racoon. I set traps for 2 weeks. The only thing I caught was a huge nasty feral cat. he shouldnt have been back!!!

The barn is now pretty darn secure. Just wondering what might have done the rabbit.

I believe you may be dealing with a hawk. A neat pile of detritus (fur and inedible parts) says raptor to me. Sorry about your turkey.
