Please quit sending us bad weather. We are tired of tornadoes, rain and hail. Please send it west instead. Surely someone out there needs rain.

Thanks for understanding,

Sincerely,
The State of Tennessee

Speaking from out West. It hasn't stopped raining for about 22 months. Accept your share.

Imp would like summer sometime this decade.

Tell me about it. Up until this month, I lived in the central valley of California, one of the most prolific agricultural areas in this country, and last summer we were unable to get tomatoes to ripen on the vine, as the temps did not get warm for the tomatoes to get red. I had a beautiful, prolific garden last year that had lots of mature veggies and fruits on the vine that never got quite ripe and rotted off in the fall without being harvested. We probably lost about 20 pounds or more of fresh produce from our garden last year due to the long winter and short summer.

Last year, we had winter/rain/snow almost to memorial day weekend, and some of the Sierra's ski resorts were open all the way until the end of May. Here we are at the end of April, and we are still getting a lot of rain. We moved here April 2nd, and we have had only 7 non-rainy days since moving in.

All right then.

OK City Girl, focusing all my impish powers on diverting rain to Tn.

Knock it off, Impy!!! My runs have about 6 inches of mud in them currently. I am full up on rain now.

(Actually, a tornado just plowed over the house. I am missing about a quarter of the shingles on the west side of my roof. When the insurance man wakes up in two hours I will call him to come tarp the roof. Sigh. This is apparently not the worst of it that we are expecting today.)
