Dear Arkansas,

We haven't seen the sun or temps above 55 degrees up here for weeks.... And yes, we've had enough rain for a while, too. But hey, y'all can keep the twisters down there. Be safe!

Well, the good news is that I am likely to get a new roof out of the deal. The bad news is that we have two more rounds of this before it is over. Roofer is on his way to tarp the roof before round two gets here.
The worst went north of me. There is apparently a lot of damage about a mile north of my place. Fingers crossed that rounds two and three will fizzle out.

I would love to take one day of your rain per week!

Please make sure it comes down gently and with out all the wind.

My guy went home to the ranch in WA a month ago (had to get his lawn ready for the summer visitors)

He is growing moss on his north side due to all the rain and almost nightly snow.

Last night his bridge decided to float it wanted to float on down the river (thankfully he was able to discourage it....lol)

I agree with the OP. We Central Virginians aren't used to your inclement weather. Survivor has been pre-empted by storm coverage, here!

Hard to see it behind the trees, but that was a funnel cloud that went just south of us. Just before that, we had golfball sized hail.

While we appreciate your sharing, you REALLY shouldn't have!

Oh wow, I can see the funnel cloud in the picture. Everyone who is experiencing this kind of severe weather, try to stay strong. I think many others here share compassion for what you are going through and are keeping all of you, your homes, your livelihoods in our thoughts and prayers.

Huh. And here I though Imps were more fairy-ish and sparkly. Who knew?

All is well. After the wretchedness of yesterday, this morning dawned with gorgeous blue skies and sunshine. It is beautiful out there today. Such is Mother Nature.

The tarps held and the worst missed us. Trees are down and I hear the buzz of chainsaws buzzily working. The insurance adjustor and roof man will come by eventually and I'll work on getting a new roof up. We dodged the bullet here compared with the poor folks in Alabama. It is so bad down there.

Last year we didn't get a summer, kinda went from spring to fall. And they were nothing to crow about. So we are nearing a couple years of rain. Good thing I look great in gray.

So now everything including imp is growing moss.
But at least we don't get much dangerous weather.
