Debating who to add to the flock!

Hello! Planning to add 2 more pullets from a local farm 2 of our flock members are from. Having trouble deciding. We have a flock of 4 currently - a bantam Brahma, Ameraucana mix, and 2 Silkies. They’re all very docile. My main concern is just bringing on girls who don’t pick on the OG flock.

The contenders have all been raised with silkies and are around 8 wks.

1. Lavender Ameraucana (but the seller is only 98% sure it’s a pullet and that’s my only hesitation. We cannot have roos and we have illness in the flock so we can’t rehome)

2. BLRW

3. Cream Legbar

4. Lavender satin Silkie. Only hesitation with her is we can’t let her hatch, and our 2 silkies right now are broody AF. I’m told this one is the only older one (~1 year) and she’s been a bad broody so far which is why I’m considering.

Personally I'd choose the lavender satin, but I'm probably only saying that because silkies are my favourite breed lol. About the broodyness. Can't you take the eggs away? Or break her at the first signs of broodyness?
Well, if the being broody part is a deal breaker, than I'd probably chose either 2. or 3. You probably shouldn’t chose the Ameraucana if you're not sure she's a hen and can't rehome a roo. Cream legbar seems like a pretty good choice. Unfortunately I don't know what breed BLRW stands for.

It's all going to depend on the individual bird's temperament.

I hear that Wyandottes have a reputation as bullies -- but my only SLW was the most docile bird in the flock until we got my son his pet Cochin.

If you really want that chicken, DNA sex testing might be worth the money (about $15) and the time (mail samples to a lab, wait for results.) That way you could be sure before bringing the chicken home.

But if you like the other breeds well enough, I would just choose from them.

BLRW is usually Blue Laced Red Wyandotte.

I’ve heard this as well! And then anecdotally I have several friends with Wyandottes who are their friendliest. This breeder I trust on temperament, but still worry because each chicken can be an individual anyway.
