The use of deep litter strategy seems like a good idea. We have 8 Rouen ducks and 14 chickens (6 Brahmas and 8 Tetra Tints), to be housing separately, though they may have a common "paddock"/enclosed yard, and will "free range" at times when we are around, and have a questions about housing and deep litter:
