I want to have a kinda easy job of cleaing up the chicken mess and I learned about the deep litter method or system.
Here is a link about it if you don't know what it is:

I would like to know if it works well or not. Thanks for any in-put.

I've had good luck with it so far, both in the brooder and the coop. I like that I can use whatever I have around- dry leaves, pine shavings, wood chips, etc. There are lots of threads about it, and people really seem to swear by it.

There are a lot a lot a lot of threads on it here, including a couple whoppingly long ones -- try using 'search' or browsing back through this forum section, to find them.

There is no "the" deep litter method, though. There are all sorts of different things that people lump together under that name but that really have quite different advantages and disadvantages and requirements and constraints and so forth.
