So we went to this guys house to get hay (for my horses) and i saw a chicken coop and went right to it. He had some really cute crosses with little tufts on their head, i actually thought they were part houdans any ways after we finished with hay we got talking about chickens and i asked him what the ones with the little tufts were and he was like "i honestly dont know, barnyard crosses from up the road. Really inbred though, extra toes' at first i was like "huh" and then driving away i got thinking about it and i laughed my tush off in the car before i was able to come to it and explain to my parents that the chickens were silkie crosses! idk why i found it so funny, but i do i guess!

Too funny!!

Not necessarily silkie crosses; there are five 5-toed breeds: dorkings, faverolles, houdans, silkies and sultans. Of these, houdans, silkies and sultans have crests.
