Hi my husband has been raising bobwhite quail. One of our females has a permanently deformed leg. Is it possible to put her with the others or should I keep her separate. She is able to eat and drink and moves around pretty well. She is about 3 months old. We just put the others 2 male and 4 female out in an enclosure.

Her level of mobility determines that, which you'll have to judge. I would try let her be with them but watch her carefully to be sure she's able to live fine out there. If for instance you'd see her sitting on the ground while the rest are all perching at night, she might need a small hutch made just for her to go in.

I would think if you could just keep an eye on her often the first day, then evaluate this in a couple of days to make sure she's not suffering from lack of eating or something else, then she'd be fine.
