First off if you are on this site so very sorry about your loss! But yet another reason to put sand in your coop! Cause of fire heat lamp! With the cold temps coming on I guess it is time to take extra precautions! My six week old chicks have been out of the brooder for over 2 weeks now and so far so good! The temps dropped this past week and I thought about adding some heat but didn't want them to get to use to it. We never got down to freezing here in Lancaster Ohio but it was close!
