Delaware? Question help!

My suggestion is to by Delawares from a private breeder not a hatchery. The stock will be much better, and you will be happier in the long run. Check out the Delaware thread here and I am sure they will have some great advice for you. My Dels are my best layers of super sized eggs. I have heritage bloodlines, and they still are excellent producers. I average 8 eggs from 9 hens.

I agree with Zephyrcreek- get them from a breeder- they are fantastic birds. My 8 girls will be 19 weeks old Wed/Thurs of this week and at least three of them are laying already. They are personable, smart, and pretty, pretty birds

I think I found a breeder (Dipsy Dipsy Doo) but she has not responded yet, so I wait! Im excited I found a breeder, but waiting is killing me!

You might want to check with Laney to see if she has any young ones she is ready to let go of. I have only roosters. Laney and I are both in NC. Kim has them also, but I forget her BYC name-
