I'm just not sure though about a rooster who didn't start crowing this morning until I woke him up at 8:30 ?

But maybe he just knows his new mom is not a morning person - and that the bedroom windows were open!
That's how considerate he is! Wow, what a guy!

Hahaha, he was just being a considerate guy! I'm so happy he's being a good boy. He probably just didn't hear any other roosters to compete with so wasn't sure what to do. Thank you so much for giving him a wonderful new home. I'm sure he'll be a good boy for you and set the bar high for any rooster you may get in the far future.
