Well I will be going, but I will not be showing anything but my duck. Before I even thought about showing I clipped all my birds wings... Well now I am kicking my butt!!!!!!

The Premium lists for the Delmarva Poultry Fanciers Spring Show (March 7 and 8 in Harrington, Delaware) are being mailed out this week. Some electronic mailing has already happened. This year's show is in memory of Bill Evans, a longtime member of our club and a waterfowl enthusiast. To date over $2500 in prize money is up for grabs, with over $1500 of that coming from our members and friends. $500 of that money is specifically directed toward junior exhibitors. In addition, there will be some special junior activities. An Avian Bowl will be held on Saturday morning and the Junior showmanship will be held on Saturday afternoon. We hope you'll come out and join us for what promises to be a great show.Rich

So, I hope lots of "Our BYC Guys" win a bunch of stuff.

We went to the State Fair last year, in August (ugh!) and there was a HUGE barn stuffed full of chickens -- thousands upon thousands of entries. So, if you miss this one, plan to come to that Fair this Summer.

I must say, it's a good fair, and they usually have a few big name musical acts (largely country) . The venue is very hot and uncomfortable, though. We saw the Beach Boys, and although they were great, if was awfully hot up there in the bleachers.
