Well hello hello! As the thread name implies, I'm working on something very special! I recently got a hen sold as a Phoenix and although she probably has some phoenix blood she also happens to have two pattern genes making her Patterned Partridge if I'm correct. I also recently got a wonderful phoenix rooster I'm using as the breeding male in my little flock of phoenix. I've named the two Kinger & Queenie and this wonderful little queen has even started laying! I'm planning on doing a hatch soon and I'll hopefully be line breeding one of her son's back to her to get some pure Pg Partridge. If anyone has any tips on creating their own strain of a breed that could help me with my project that would be awesome! Anyone interested in seeing this strain develop I'll be updating it often!

Anyways, here's the hen Queenie

And here is Kinger! I love his little heart shaped earlobe

He’s beautiful! He looks like a black breasted red phoenix. The hen is so pretty…would love to see their progeny!

I know nothing about creating breeds, but I love phoenix roosters. I have a golden phoenix roo and just ordered more phoenix eggs off eBay…so hoping for more to hatch soon!

Thanks! I'm super excited to see how their chicks will look, I'm wondering what Duckwing with one pattern gene would look like 🤔
