Dewormer for chickens

Hello i am looking for recommendations from someone who has used a dewormer for chickens. I am sure this has been discussed before, however i could not find the thread. I was told i could use a cat dewormer with the active ingredient of piperazine. I have 5 chickens two are heavier than the other 3 so i have to dose it based on their body weight following the instructions on the back of the medicine. Can anyone tell me their experience please? thank you.

When you can't find what you're looking for, it's always a good idea to just ask!
I use Valbazen with my chickens when treating worms - any Valbazen works, you just want to make sure that you do 0.08 ml per pound of body weight.
The Valbazen should be given orally, which can be a bit of a hassle when you have a large flock and have to pick each one up, weigh them, and then give the correct dosage.
However, with a flock of five, you should be able to administer the medicine in a snap!
All you really need is the Valbazen and a small syringe.
You'll want to weigh each chicken individually, and then administer 0.08 ml of Valbazen per pound. This is a great time to do an overall health check-up, and to record their weight for future reference.

I also use Valbazen, it is a great broad spectrum dewormer. I know it's more costly, but worth it to me.
I've had no experience with piperzine, I would suggest a search specifically on byc for that ingredient to find out if it's acceptable and if so the correct dosage.

Thank you so much for your help ! I am looking into this valbazen drug and see where i can find it. I love my chickens and want nothing but the best for all of them. Getting the chickens weight os gonna be interesting i have never done it. The farm suggested i weight myself with them then subtract my weight. Is there any other easier way?

Piperazine will only treat roundworms, it works well as a first treatment but should be followed up 7-10 days later with a more broad spectrum dewormer as mentioned above.

I suggest Safeguard (fenbendazole) or Valbazen (albendazole). Do they have worms?
