DH built me a chicken tractor...

Gotta love the man for it, but... He built it for me about 10 years ago, I just replaced the chicken wire on the sides a few days ago (he had the 2" mesh on it, rusting and not good for chicks). The only 'problem' is, he got some plans and decided to make ours 'stronger' than the one in the plans. For example, if the plan called for 1x4 wood, he used 2x4's. So I have this very nice chicken tractor, which has held up very well over the years. But I don't think 'chicken tractor' means that you NEED a tractor to move it!

On the plus side, he built me a very nice hen house, insulated it, and painted the inside white. It may show all of the dirt, but when you turn the lights on in there it's nice and bright!

Sounds nice and like you have a good husband too! My husband has done a great job with our chicken coop. I would like a chicken tractor for the garden that I can move myself to help with weeds. But I don't know when or if I will get it, my husband stays so busy working. Sometimes I feel guilty because I am staying at home with the children and he is out working hard providing for us!

I would feel bad that I stay home, but he stayed home for about 7 years and I went to work.

But thinking about things that he does for me... I almost feel bad for yelling at him last night. There was a 20' x 4' piece of plastic sheet that he left in the garden last fall, it was breaking up and I was gradually getting the little pieces picked up. I was out at the garden last night and found that a few days ago he took the mower into the garden to cut the dead weeds down (they got out of hand last year) and he mowed where the plastic was so now I have lots of smaller pieces blown all over to pick up. (sigh...)

Hi , we have had computer problems and I am not getting back online. We had to buy another computer and get another internet provider. Sorry I never responded! Been back online maybe two weeks and just getting on BYC again!

But I know what you mean, we all make mistakes and say things we regret. I have done it, we are human
