DH said Mahjong - is this true?

I got a new computer as an early birthday gift. I'm enjoying playing mahjong on it.

DH saw me playing it the other day and mentioned he'd read somewhere that mahjong - not other video games, just mahjong - causes brain damage?

Anyone else ever heard this? Cuz...ummmm...I can't afford alot more brain damage.

but, that is "real" mahjong, not the video game. and it's not brain damage, it is seizures. I'd guess the excitement, noise, crowds, etc are the reason behind that however.

On the other hand, I've heard that "real" mahjong can be good for you because mental activity can help ward of Alzheimers and other cognitive disorders.

I've found addictive computer games tend to lead more to "thick bottom" problems than to head problems
