Can someone give me some insight on the diameter of PVC pipe used for your horizontal nipple watering systems? I see how-to's and suggestions etc, but no one says what diameter or if it needs to be a certain type of PVC (i worry about when it gets hot from the sun what's leeching into their water)?

Any help is appreciated, especially pictures of your set up! I have some 4" pieces of pipe but they take up so much room i don't want to use them in their run as a water system, just for their feed, vertically mounted.

Namaste!

I use a 1/2” pipe with four horizontal waterers and four vertical waterers. Mine seem to gravitate towards the vertical ones. It’s fed by 1/4” black poly tubing going to an elevated 5-gallon bucket with a screw-on lid. So far it’s worked like a charm.
