If you have inside house duck's how often do you change there diapers?

I have a inside house duck he is my special needs duck has been since he was born back in March of this year and I change his diaper about every 2-hours and I sew his diapers that I make from old shirts and use pads for the inside and so far these have helped.

Here he is with one of is home made diapers on that I made

Come on over to the house duck thread, we have all sorts of duck mamas there!

As for your diaper, hmm...great first effort! My only concern is that it's held so tightly against his skin. The ammonia from the poop could irritate his sensitive cloaca. Most duck diapeys have a "poop cup" to give a little leeway. Like this:

That's my Bean! One of our members, Kukupecpec, is the undisputed master of duck diapers. They're pretty cheap, too.

Mind if I ask how your totally adorable drake became special needs? And what's his name? :)

He is special needs since he was born because his little month was broken but healed it self closed back and he wasn't able to walk and his sisters would just walk all over him so since then we have keep him in the house and he has came our inside house pet with our 2-girl dog's that are just like our kids..

We named him Broke D

And so far we haven't had any trouble with his diaper being to tight on him we do keep a eye on his man parts to make sure..lol

And it stopped walking about a few weeks ago and started giving him Brewers Yest and it has helped a lot and he is up walking and starting to get his adult fathers in but he is so smaller then his sisters.
