Diarrhea from eating homegrown eggs?

my husband gets an upset stomach sometimes to the point of diarrhea when eating homegrown eggs. He does not have this problem with store bought eggs.

I store my eggs on the kitchen counter. I’m wondering if I start washing them and storing them in the fridge if it would make a difference. Could it be becaiof what I’m feeding he girls vs what commercial layers are fed?

If it were a food allergy I would think alll egg would bother him.

Anyone else have this experience?
Yes I get diarrhea everytime. I think I'm going to wash them before I put in the frig

I have this problem too. I have always eaten eggs. I love them. When I get nice fresh ones from a friend with chickens, they more often give me diarrhea. Store bought almost never do It only last for one bout, and I don’t feel terrible, so I keep trying. I love fresh eggs!

I don’t know why. I was wondering if home eggs are more “rich” - fatty. In general my bowls don’t like fatty foods ( animal fat)
That's exactly why! They're rich. Higher protein than store bought eggs that are likely 4 months old by the time they're on the store shelf. Nothing to do with what the chicken ate or salmonella like I've seen in a lot of these replies. The fresh or the egg, the faster I ran to the bathroom. Lol. Those fresh farm eggs are very good for you.
