Diatomaceous Earth Application

I recently treated my chicken coop with diatomaceous earth for some type of tiny bug, probably a midge. Concerned about how it would get into every crack and crevice after I spread it in the obvious places, I used my leaf blower to blast everything into a storm. Success! No more bugs. I definitely think using the leaf blower to mix everything up helped a lot.

Make sure you wear a mask every every time you're in your coop until you clean it next, it's harmful for you and your birds to breathe.

For sure if it's pool grade D.E. But I use food grade DE for my organic garden and for any flea problems. The chickens are relieved and I am well.

Any d.e is bad to breathe and it's not remotely good or safe for the environment.

Well the chickens or I didn't stay in the Coop while the dust was filling every nook and cranny. And the next day, we were all greatly relieved. I call that a win.
