Why were other people were getting sick and dead chickens from the ash mix DE but it's okay for humans?

Hadn't heard any of that, so I don't know. I personally contacted the manufacturer in Canada and was told it was not only Food Grade, but perfectly safe for humans to consume. Don't think they'd say that if it weren't.
