Diatomaceous Earth

Not sure what you mean...how much can they eat?

Oh. Nevermind. You mean you just sprinkle some in their food to get rid of the grain mites. I thought you meant you mixed it in the food and feed it to your flock. Lol.

. I mix mine in my feed and feed it to my hens

Quote: Yes, I just mix some in the feed, not alot, a hand full maybe in a 50# bag.... and in the feed can itself...and on the lid of the feed can..... and around on the floor around the base of the feed can IF I see grain mites. Had an infested bag of feed or 3 this past spring and that what I did, seems to have taken care of the problem.

It does nothing for inside the chickens....won't deworm them or anything else.

I've watched DE kill and eliminate tape worms from the poop of rescued dogs many times so I believe it definitely will worm chickens. Wolf Creek Ranch gives the effective amounts on their website. I used 1 tablespoon twice per day for medium sized dogs, 2 tablespoons twice per day for large dogs, and 1 teaspoon twice per day for puppies. I've read to use 2% by weight in the chicken feed, but I think Wolf Creek recommends 5%. You have to use enough of it to be effective.
