Hey y’all —
I did a fecal float at the vets office today that came back with definite Threadworms, a few roundworms and possible Cecal worms.
I have a few chickens with diarrhea; but everyone is doing well in general and the Vet said — the stool samples weren’t “overrun” with eggs, so some of it may be a bit of a normal worm-load for chickens…but, to treat them for sure. She’s not a normal chicken vet I should say. She’s just super cool and sees my cats for me and is willing to floats for me when needed on my chickens.
My question is:
Should I use Ivermectin pour-on or Safeguard?
I have Ivermectin pour/on on hand
Thanks!
