I got 4 chicks they were not being fed properly and kept in a small pen so lots of feathers picked on them.
I have ahd them for about 10 days and one got sick. very listless all fluffed up like it was cold didnt want to eat or drink just kind sat in the front edge of the coop peeping quietly to itself. I got some corid and treated the entire flock new birds and existing flock. They are in quarantine so no contact with the other birds. does it sound like I did the right thing?

Yes, for sure quarantine for at least a month and be careful not to go to your flock after caring for the sick ones. Germs can travel on your clothing and hands. Are there any other symptoms? Try to keep the sick one warm, isolate if it is getting picked on, offer it anything it might eat. Possibly scrambled eggs. The unhappy truth is that they may have an illness already. Be VERY careful before you add them with your other birds. Good luck!

What you might want to do, for a little added safety, is this: after the month quarantine from you old flock, select one bird and put her with the new batch for a few weeks. This gives any disease that they might be carrying but not having symptoms of, a chance to show up in your old bird. It's referred to as choosing a sacrifice chicken.

Sounds cold hearted, I know. But of course it would only be one chicken that way and not your flock.

Good luck.
