Okay. . .
I have no idea what I'm going - just following directions in the box. . .for the Brinsea Octo 20

I was able to get 28 eggs in and I have one slight in and stable with a sponge. . .lol.
This photos is before I added the list other one -

I let them set 24 hours - point down - in catoon - had the bator running 24 hours before putting them in. . .
fill one chamber with water. . .

Vent is totally open, per someone's recommendation
Temp says 96 degrees
Hygometer says 45%

Is all that okay? I'm a wreck over this - lol

Also, do I turn off the turner 2 days before the hatch?\\

Lastly, I didn't use the seperation bar on the last two lines in order to fit all the eggs in - but they fit snug - not tight - is that okay?

what was the temp BEFORE you put them in? It should be 99.5F
If it droped to 96 after you put the eggs in, that is ok.. it will come back up gradually as the eggs warm up,, might take a day

Since you have had them in for 24 hours already, you need to up the temp a little. the temp needed to be 99.5 before you put the eggs in so you will have to make slight adjustments, then check after an hour.. make adjustment.. Hopefully you are looking at the glass thermometer.. it needs to be just slightly under the 100 mark on the glass thermometer.

Okay, this morning it look like it is on 99, maybe 99.5 - that is from the glass thermometer - humidity looks at about 43
When would be okay to open it and fix the hygrometer that has came loose? lol

Is not having the bars between the last two rows going to hurt?

I am wreck - HAA HAA - because a girl split the cost of the eggs with me, and I will feel so BAD if some do not hatch - they were mishandled at the PO, and we have $90 in them - so I'm already NUTSO over here about every little thing.

I agree, breathe !! If your temp is close to 99.5 and humidity is 43% what else do you want ?? relax .... If you have to fix your temp, you do it very gradually..

LOL - I'm glad it is as simple as all that - I read some threads and I feel like it is a complex thing and wish I just had a bunch of broody hens to put them under.
