Did I start layer feed too soon?

Hello,

The farmer I bought my Golden Comet pullet hens (around 11weeks) told be to keep them on layer feed. Now I am reading that I should have been feeding them grower feed all along until they laid their first eggs. They free range and eat other things beside their feed. They are almost 19 weeks. Do I keep on feeding them layer feed?

At 19 weeks I wouldn't worry about it. I'd leave them on the layer and watch for eggs. The layer has extra calcium for the shells.
