I have been talking with 2 friends, 1 who had a Wordpress site about economics, another who had a Simple Machines software forum about history.
In general, I really like the phpBB type of forum software.
I am amazed at how people can live with the tiny, miniscule little message windows in Facebook.
Also, I have a younger brother who was an "early adopter" of Facebook, and since he was doing "social media consulting" he mostly encouraged his clients to use Facebook.
he was sort of Aggro about it.
BYC may be one example of the usefulness & utility of the phpBB forum software.
You have hundreds of active discussions, that we can all navigate between.
Go look at the Chicken groups on Facebook, or Gab.
This type of Forum software - that BYC uses - IS THE BEST.
I don't think that's even an opinion.
BUT - there's no handy text down at the bottom saying what software it is.
Did BYC develop their own forum software - and if so would they be willing to rent it for use on another website ?
