Did this for a contest for fun and decided to share

It's nothing great, but I thought it was cute. On the one group I'm on they're doing a button quail contest (you dont win anything if you win just the thought of knowing your picture was picked kind of thing) anywho I thought I'd join in because the group had been getting too serious lately about genetic things and everyone wanted a change of pace. And I thought you all might like it as well and maybe have a cute xmas birdie prop to share too???

I turn an old jewelery box into a pretend gift box by coloring on paper and gluing it on. Then I took Pippin (my tamest button quail) and put her in the box and whistled at her while I took pictures, she'll do anything if you give her whistle attention

LOL!

Is she the same bird that helped make my X-mas card? I couldn't resist trying, but my buttons would rather fly off.

i like the pictures but I have golden pheasants and they are not so good at handleing and Pitures but I did try to get good shots of them for my card his year because this is the first Christmas I have owned them, and everyone want to see!

She didnt mind it at all, well until I took her into the bathroom and wrinsed off her tootsies then she growled at me the whole time.

She forgives easily though because she loves me

. I also used a very young coturnix chick to walk around on the card as well.

Hubby thought I was weird because I was peering into the brooder, your card laying on a towel with paint near by, and I go "oo it pooed kay I can use him!" and my hubbies like "what does it pooping have to do with it walking on the card?" He's obviously not bird keen yet I guess

She was REALLY mad at me when I had her posing for those. LOL I ended up using the first one on the front of the card and the scarf one inside. The baby died shortly after I took that pic and I just didn't have the heart to use it.

sure I posted the card on somelses thread #4, I was hoping you enjoyed the gift, love your birds they are pretty! and #6 is momma's which i made too!
