Did you get extra chickens from Meyers? I.E. surplus, not Meyer meal maker,

Just wondering if anyone got more then what they ordered. Not counting the Meyer meal maker deal. I read some where that they will send extra in your shipment, I believe as in just in case method. If true, what breed did you receive or how many?

Do you include "packing peanuts" or extra male chicks for warmth?
No. We will never include free extra males like other hatcheries to keep chicks warm during transit. We are far too innovative to send you chicks you don't want or need! We pioneered the 3 chick minimum without sending males for warmth. Instead, we cleverly pack extra nesting material, include a long lasting heat pack when needed and ship small orders Express Mail to ensure they arrive safe and healthy.

well that answers that. Wherever I read that obviously they were wrong. Thank you for such a quick reply. . so far my experience with meyers has been decent. just out of clarification I did not mean packing peanuts for warmth, but as in someone said they gave out extra for shipping casualties. But I see how that would be a problem if you didn't need the extra, duh ... on me.

I thought i seen where they add 1 or 2 extra for the casualties.The 15 i ordered from them last year didn't have any extra.
