Did you know a group of chickens is a peep? I didn't..

I was searching youtube for chickens and came across the late great Julia Child and she explained the differets stages of a chickens life in cooking terms of course but, she also told her viewers that a group of chickens is a peep not a flock. Who new? I think that is just the sweetest name.

I too only just found that out. It was a baby shower game I found on line. You needed to name the Infant animal Cat = Kitten and the family name Lion = Pride

my good friend is having a baby so I was in charge ...lol
We put an actual Baby diaper on his 10 week old RIR rooster. He was fine about it ....lol (the rooster that is!)

Julia was half right....but only when refering to a group of chicks.

A group of chickens is called a flock, brood (of hens), clutch (of chicks), or peep (of chicks)
