I have four button Quail that are 3 weeks old and I know for sure that two are males. But I have a whitish tanish one thats got darker tail feathers and so far only white feathers around the actual vent. I'm praying that it is a girl otherwise my only hope for a hen is my other one which is blind. How can I be sure of the sex?

It depends on what color the buttons in question are.

If they are wilds then the vent of the roos will start getting that rusty red to it not the actual tail feathers (sometimes they are rusty too though) but the area righ tbelow the tail on the vent and around the back of the thighs in some males

It was yellow-ish when born. And now it is white with a mixture of light brown/tan. I wish I could upload some pictures but I do not have a camera that I could use.

three weeks. It is mostly white...Um....I wish i could explain it more. It is more of a blend of white and a very light brown. When it hathed I thought it was going to be white because it was basicaly yellow like a white one would be.
