Different color eggs from one pullet

The basic color of the egg a certain hen lays is going to be about the same day to day. Brown will be brown, white will be white. Same for blue or green. Often you can tell which hen laid which egg by shape, color, and shade once you get to know your hens. At least most of the time.
But actual shade can vary from one egg to the next. There are several different potential reasons for that, practically all of them perfectly OK. Nothing to worry about. Pullets are notorious for stuff like that when they are first start to lay, it sometimes takes them a while to work all the bugs out of their internal egg making factory. But even an older hen is entitled to an occasional oops.

I thought the color should remain constant not vary from pink to tan.
Was a bit concerned but you say it’s normal so no worries.

One of the things that can affect pink is the amount of bloom she put on it. In a pullet just starting to lay she may not be able to regulate the bloom that well. It does look like the browner egg has more pigment than the pinkish one. That might be because the darker egg spent more time in the shell gland getting that pigment put on or maybe she just had more pigment for that egg? But yes, nothing to worry about.

The cause is the availability of pigment in the uterus after the shell is formed.
That can be due to many things, nutrition being one of them.
Sometimes pinkish eggs are due to an additional layer of calcium over the brown pigment.
I have had a couple hens who laid plum eggs from time to time but the normal color was an intense reddish maroon. The plum was the result of additional application of calcium over the pigment.
