Ok so I've set up my incubator with a 40- watt light bulb, a fan, and 2 thermometer/hygrometers. The problem is, one of my thermometers is reading about 105 degrees Fahrenheit, and the other is reading about 120! Which is right? could the light being so close to them be messing them up?

One method is to put your thermometer in a glass of ice with water let set a few Minutes and you should have a reading of 32. If you don't you add or subtract whether your above or below 32 to get an accurite reading.

Water should boil at 212 degrees you can use that for a high reading.

This is assuming your using a glass thermometer not a digital. And it's gradated for those ranges.

Most digital room thermometers can have a range of 2 to 5 degrees.

Cheap thermometer that works is a medical thermometer that pharmacy sell.

I use a brinsea spot check on my incubators. It's about 25 dollars online.

Boiling water is 212 degrees at sea level, Ice water is about 34 degrees. That will only help if your thermometer is able to be calibrated.
