Dip or Dust?

If you use dip in the winter you need to blow them dry.

I like to use dust. Make sure you follow dilution instructions on the permethrin bottle if you use the liquid.

Make sure you repeat treatment of coop (spray coop crevices and toss bedding) AND chickens (around vent, under wings, everywhere except the face) every 7 days until bugs gone to kill the hatching eggs.

Which would be easier?

In summer a dip is easier I would say. I have sprayed it on in the summer and that is a lot of work as your hands get tired. I have never actually dipped a chicken except for a silkie I gave a flea bath to before bringing her in the house.

The dusting goes pretty fast and you don't have to blow them dry. Only I end up inhaling the dust some (wear a mask and gloves, long sleeves, shower afterward, etc).
