Dipping with adams

After you dip the chicken with Adams flea and tick dip, do you rinse the chicken?

I don't as the solution is week enough to kill the small pest but not strong enough to harm an adult bird. I like the idea of having a residual amount left on them as a further deterent to ones that may want to jump on the band wagon.
