I have tried to clean my chickens wattles and combs and they won't come clean. I have tried dawn soap and a wash cloth and it doesn't work. They are black and gross looking. Everyone on here that posts pics have nice red combs. I'm wondering how I can get ours to look nice too.

I'm going to try and post one that was taken about a month ago. It doesn't look as bad in this pic... it's really dirty now. They roll around in the dirt under the porch. I noticed that when I give them yogurt and don't wash it off their wattles this happens. This pic was taken when he caught his wattle on something and it ripped a little. I brought it to someone to see if it needed to be stitched up.
