Dirty Eggs?

Hi, Has anyone noticed whether dirty eggs have a lesser chance of hatching? My hens lay all over the place and lately with lots of rain, our eggs are really dirty with mud and probably chicken poop. Should we discard them for incubation? tks

I really doubt it matters. Not sure of any scientific studies though. I wouldn't discount them if I were you.
