The color is quite nice isnt it? I really hope I get some to hatch! I've tried to hatch BCMs before, but only a couple eggs at a time. I'll PM you the seller.
I know that cleaning the eggs can be counter productive b/c you destroy the bloom. That's one of the reasons I didn't know what to do! Its good to hear that so many of you get good hatches with dirty eggs. I will try sanding the heaviest dirt off and just set them and hope for the best. Thanks for your help!
No problem!
If you mist them all over with betadine (povidone iodine) mixed with water to look like iced tea, you will 'replace' the bloom. This works very well for me when I sand, and I'll just lay them out on an old towel, mist, wait for it to dry, turn, mist the other side, and set once dry.
Best of luck, and let us know how they hatch!
