Those of you that have pullet shut doors- do you know off the top of your head his to temporarily disable them? We are having extensive landscaping done tomorrow and I had to take down the electronegative run temporarily. I want everyone to stay locked up in the coop until the work is done- the girls all think they are very "helpful" lol.
I have a solar panel and light sensor. The other day I learned that if you just disconnect the battery the solar panel can open the door if there is enough sunlight. So this evening I tried to disconnect the panel and battery and managed to break one of the clips. So my temporary fix was to flip the solar panel over (it's not caulked down yet) hoping this would keep it from opening in the morning.
Any other thoughts?
