disapointing but worth it

Well it was worth a try. I set 12 eggs for the first time and 2 hatched. There now 7 weeks old and just confirmed there both roosters so I cant keep them. My son is devastated and I am disappointed but I know going in to this there was a chance this would happen. I learned a lot for sure and it was a really neat experience for my son to see. I will try again but now I got to go order new hens. any way want to thank every one on here that I bothered with the 100000000000000000 questions when I started this. If it were not for this forum I would not have even tried this or even have chickens for that matter. every one here is very helpful and the info is most accurate.

How sad. I can`t keep roosters either, so I feel your pain. Better luck next time.

Yep. It was worth it. My 4 year old had a lot of fun watching them grow up. I will try again.
